Commissioned by Drama Studio London
Party Pooper is a play about bystander intervention - a hugely powerful way to support friends and strangers alike, who may be subject to pressure or abuse. But sometimes it can feel like stepping in means you have to spoil all the fun.
This play explores that moment when you should intervene but you're not going to, you could, but you won't. So why don't you?
Set on a university campus during freshers week, the play asks what duty do we owe one another in a crisis, and how far would we go to help a stranger?
Party Pooper was developed with a cohort of 14 students training at Drama Studio London. Written and directed by Freddie, as a workshop presentation in 2019 and a full public production in 2020.
